Bhaubeej

Bhaubeej is brother- sister occasions celebrated on the fifth day of diwali.
Brothers are considered as protectors of the sisters in hindu religio. On bhaubeej every brother visit his sisters house and sister wishes him a long and healthy life and offers him sweets. Then sisters performs arti and pray to the lord for the welfare of their brothers then broters give present gift to sister. 

Padva

The fourth day of diwali is known as pratipad padva. On these day people worshipping cows and bulls and they doing puja of cows and bulls.
People cleaning there cow shed (gotho) and made new gotho . People make cow dung replicas of the fabled mound and decorate it with flowers,  flowers petals and offers prayers. People making (Rakhano) guard out of 'karit' and decorating gotho very nicely.

Dhanteras - Festival of wealth

Firstly dhan means wealth and tera comes from the date 13th. On dhanteras, lakshmi the goddess of wealth is worshipped to provide prosperity and well being. It is also the day for celebrating wealth.
In the evening, the lamp is lightened and Dhan lakshmi is welcomed into the house. Rangoli designs are drawn in pathway. Aartis and devotional hymns are sung and sweets and fruits are appeared to goddess lakshmi.
Hindu also worshi lord kuber as the treasurer of wealth along with goddess lakshmi. People went to jeweller and buy gold or silver jewellery or utensils on the occasions of Dhanteras.☺

Diwali festival in Goa

Diwali is happy festival of all people. Narak chaturdashi is called diwali in Goa. On diwali early morning after burning narkasura they bath with some type of oil along with 'utne'.☺☺
Dip (akash divas) is lighted on these day. On these festival people prepare sweet dishes like ladu, karanji and all types of mithai and distribut them amongst relatives and friends.☺☺
On the day of diwali many wear new cloths, and light  firecrackers. Children are very happy on this festival because they play with different types of fireworks.
The houses are beautifully decorated with different kinds of divas (pantis). Diwali was also celebrates the return of lord Rama king of ayodhya with his wife sita, brother lakshman and with hanuman from a war in which he killed the demon king Ravana.

Diwali celebration in Goa

THE MAKING AND KILLING OF NARKASURA                                                          
In Goa the people make huge narkasura which are filled with grass, waste papers, and crackers. Sometimes a lot of money is spent on making of narkasura.
In all over goa there are narkasura competitions and they give cash prizes for the best made one and then taken in a open place and later burnt the narkasura and lot of fireworks display to begin the festival of diwali.
There are many legends related to the festival of diwali. However in goa the narkasura legend of diwali is well known and this is the reason for the diwali celebration.
In the ancient time the beautiful land of goi was ruled by the narkasura and he haf lot of power. He was destroyed everything, then peoples from goa prayed and ask lord krishna for help. A battle was faught between lord krishna and narkasur in which lord Krishna killed narkasur by using "sudharshan chakra".
